On the 27th of October 2023, we launched the Gauteng Provincial Government and Standard Bank Township Business Development Program at ANEW Hotel, in Johannesburg. The official launch was attended by entrepreneurs, Gauteng Provincial Government officials, Standard Bank representatives and Classic Oriental Consultancy representatives. The master of ceremony was Mr Phemelo Sello from Greenbay, who was on our Impala ESD program (cohort 1).

In the six-week long business development program, 100 township businesses will attend the following workshops: an overview of SMME’s in South Africa, fundamentals of entrepreneurship, sales and marketing, basic principles of finance, legal and statutory compliance, and business model canvas. The program will be implemented by Classic Oriental Consultancy.

The objective of the program is to equip township business owners with the business knowledge and skills that will help them grow their businesses. Our subject matter experts (facilitators) are keen and ready to help township businesses in the Gauteng Province.
