On the 26^th of August 2021 radiant and fierce women gathered at the Empowered Women Breakfast Seminar that was held at King’s Gate Hotel in Rustenburg. The seminar was sponsored by Classic Oriental Consultancy (PTY) LTD as part of their Corporate Social Investment (CSI) project. The guests were carefully selected and had been sent out a special invitation to the event, amongst them being prestigious women in business around the Rustenburg community. The objectives of the seminar were to empower women in business, to encourage them to rise in excellence and to create a platform where women can engage each other and to network with like-minded women in the world of business.    Amongst the guest speakers were Ratanang Selomane from ABSA, who engaged the women on ABSA’s ESD program, George Tlhapi the General Manager of the Rustenburg UBank branch who spoke on the bank’s SMME funding assistance, Tebogo Nare founder and editor-in-chief of the Thuba Pelo Mosadi magazine who touched on finding your purpose and passion, Dr. F. Tebeila from the Refodile Medical Centre spoke on balancing business and your personal life. Goitseona Modisane a published author and motivational speaker motivated the women to arise and leave their mark in the world, he shared a bit of the content in his latest book called When a Women Arises which was part of what was in the goodie bag the women received on the day. The women were entertained by cultural dancers from the Bua Motswana Traditional Academy and a lovely praise poem by Thato Khosta who is the co-founder of the academy. Mesora Day Spa by Oratilwe Nameng gave complementary shoulder massages to the guests and the Fruti Bevs by Olivia Mfulwane stand served their had 100% fruit juice and water. Other businesses on display were Eduboast Tutoring Centre owned by Precious Tlotleng and the Thuba Pelo Mosadi magazine with more goodie bags from ABSA and Refodile Medical Centre. A networking session over lunch closed off the seminar. An event that can go on without a hitch can only be God ordained and the Empowered Women Breakfast Seminar was just that. It all came together perfectly and fulfilled its purpose of empowering women in all business respects, big and small. The businesswomen of Rustenburg have risen, and the sky is the limit, they will take the knowledge received at the event, pay it forward and change their communities. To empowered women empowering women, may we know them, may we support them and may we be them.
